About Us
Our vision is that families and people with developmental disabilities will experience an improvement in all aspects of community life - health, employment and education.
Our mission is to provide quality information and advocacy resources to families who have family members with developmental disabilities. Priority is placed on teaching families and individuals with mental and developmental disabilities how to best advocate for themselves.
It is our goal:
to work with family members to empower them to be more actively engaged at the grass roots level in this improvement process.
to do everything we can to help parents be active participants as equal team members in their Child's IEP meetings.
that both Parents and students will be satisfied with their IEP/Transition plans and the services that result from these plan.
that these empowered families and self-advocates will unite together with a stronger voice and then help other families in return.
(Whenever possible, and as requested, services and documents will be offered and/or interpreted into the family's language of choice.)
